Our Finance Team have considerable experience in providing an efficient, quick and accurate service. They understand the requirements of all our Investors and Borrowers to ensure that vital funding and information for each individual loan is available exactly when it is needed.
Andrew Lazare is the Managing Director of Mint Bridging. His last business was sold for over £7m. Andrew is one of the youngest ever people to have run a publicly listed company.
Since then Andrew has focused his attention on the bridging finance sector. His drive and dedication has seen him win several prestigious awards, including the Special Contribution & Young Property Professional Awards by North West Business Insider Magazine, and Entrepreneur of the Year by EN Magazine.
Paul Wertheim is a founding Director at Mint. Prior to joining us he held a senior operations role at a law firm which specialises in bridging finance origination and securitisation. This experience gives Paul a unique perspective on bridging and provides Mint with a valuable competitive advantage.
Born into a family of successful property investors, Paul has been personally involved in the property investment market for over thirty years. His experience ranges from simple buy-to-let transactions to more complicated commercial investments.
He is Mint’s ‘go to guy’ for that extra touch of industry wisdom.
Richard Showman is our Head of Lending. Richard joined us in 2015 and has a long history in the short-term finance sector; as long ago as 2004 he worked at a rival bridging lender as Head of Underwriting. Richard is a qualified chartered surveyor and has extensive experience in commercial property.
Richard’s experience and his property sector knowledge (including Landlord & Tenant and general property law) ensures that Mint can fully underwrite the widest possible selection of loans. Today, he shares his knowledge, experience, and passion for lending, with our team of underwriters.
Andrea Naylor, was previously at Goldentree for five years, where she was part of the legal team. She has 26 years of experience in the property sector, working in-house for national housebuilders and international private practice.
Andrea is part of a management restructuring, with the recent announcement of promoting Head of Underwriting Richard Showman to the newly created role of Head of Lending. This role provides Andrea an opportunity to take a more strategic position in the business, which includes development work with Mint’s lawyers, valuers and quantity surveyors, alongside provision of additional support for funders.
Mark is a director of MB (Syndicates) Limited, our syndicated lending business. He was a trader for over 20 years at Salomon Brothers and JP Morgan.
Mark was co-founder of West One Loans and grew the loan book from inception to over £100m generating over £3m pa EBITDA. The business was subsequently acquired by Enterprise Finance in 2014.
Mark has sat on the ASTL Executive Committee and is a high profile figure head in the UK’s bridging industry and he is an avid private equity investor.
Mark joined Mint in 2018 as a Financial Controller, with considerable experience in complex finance organisations. As a solid accountant he has the understanding to produce account that are relevant to the complex bridging finance business.
He is an excellent man manager, with the ability to lead and motivate large and small teams and his effective communication skills to stakeholder has proved invaluable to move forward our syndication business.
Darren is an accountant who has spent his career to date working as a Finance Director predominantly with fast growing companies in a range of business sectors in the UK and overseas. He is an experienced and commercially-minded advisor to entrepreneurial and growing businesses. He has been working with Mint since 2018.
OUR SALES TEAM
Our nationwide Sales Team have vast experience and expertise when it comes to dealing with property and development finance, this allows them to provide the best possible advice for Introducers and Borrowers alike.
Sinead Moynihan is Mint’s Head of Sales. Prior to joining us in 2016, she worked for over a decade in business development and the property industry. Her varied experiences include having worked as a property consultant in Dubai, and as a senior manager at an insolvency solutions firm (where she managed over 65 staff and headed up the call centre).
Sinead’s role is central to the development of our business. Her team is the first point of contact for many of our enquiries and if you phone in with a new enquiry you will speak to one of her team, where you can be sure of a friendly and helpful welcome.

Steven Bowes is one of Mint’s Business Development Executives and has worked in a variety of sales and service roles for over 15 Years. He joined Mint in 2016 from a Recruitment background.
Steven’s role here at Mint is to be the first contact on new cases and to make sure that the clients are getting the best possible service. He also works closely with the clients to make sure that our offering is in line with the best needs of the client.
OUR UNDERWRITING TEAM
Our Underwriters have overall responsibility of a loan and take ownership of allocated cases from inception through to completion.
Kim Osbourne joined Mint in 2014 and was our very first underwriter.
She has worked in the finance sector for over a decade, previously working as Assistant Underwriter for a specialist Professional Indemnity insurer where she studied insurance proposals, calculated risk and made decisions on premiums. Prior to this, she worked as a personal insolvency advisor.
She brings all this experience to Mint and, as our most long-serving underwriter, she lives and breathes the Mint way. She is also responsible for managing funding and investor relations.
Connor Hornby works in Mint’s underwriting team. He is one of our most long-standing members of staff and has seen the company’s growth at first hand. He has grown with it, having joined Mint straight from education.
Connor’s role is to liaise with brokers and clients on new proposals to establish if Mint can assist, and then provide terms. This involves interacting with our Credit Committee, outlining the enquiry and proposing what level of funding we may be able to provide. Connor also services key house accounts, which require direct access to our credit committee and provision of fast answers.
Adam Robson is a member of Mint’s underwriting team, which is at the heart of our decision-making process. He joined us in 2017, having previously worked as a senior underwriter for one of our competitors.
Adam has over a decade of underwriting experience within the financial services sector, having started and developed his career at a large lender. His experience takes in personal lending, business lending, and corporate lending as well as bridging.
Sam Herd is a member of Mint’s growing underwriting team. She joined us in 2017 from one of our competitors.
Prior to her bridging career, she had a successful career as an estate agent for several years. Did we mention that she is also a qualified gym instructor?
Sam underwrites all types of loan and loves the challenge of getting deals across the line.
OUR PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT TEAM
Our portfolio management team project manage our loan book, working with our clients to achieve their project timescales and bring completions in on time, ensuring Mint delivers the best customer service in the bridging and development finance sector.
Peter Howarth is Mint’s Credit Risk Manager. Pete joined us in 2017 following a 35-year career providing finance in the SME sector via one of the UK’s largest banks. His last role there was as Relationship Director for commercial real-estate.
Pete’s role at Mint is varied and broad. He sits on our Credit Committee and is involved in day to day lending decision making. He also has responsibility for overseeing our valuation panel and the development of the policies which allow us to lend in a structured and consistent manner.
Jon Buckley is one of Mint’s Portfolio Managers. Jon joined us in 2015 from a competitor, where he worked for five years in a similar role. Prior to that, Jon had a career working in the clothing industry for 15 years. As a National Account Manager, he formed strong working partnerships; skills that he still uses to the full.
Jon established our Portfolio Management Department. His role is liaison with our borrowers to ensure timely delivery of projects and redemption of loans. In addition, he works closely with our sales team and underwriters in the early appraisal of development and refurbishment opportunities, identifying cost, construction and sales risks.
Iain Davidson is one of Mint’s Portfolio Managers. Iain joined us in 2018 and is a Chartered Surveyor with 35 years’ experience in housebuilding and residential construction. He previously served as Sales & Marketing Director and Managing Director in plc divisions and development Companies.
Iain’s role within our Portfolio Management Department is liaison with our borrowers to ensure timely delivery of projects and redemption of loans. In addition, he works closely with our sales team and underwriters in the early appraisal of development and refurbishment opportunities, identifying cost, construction and sales risks.
